Different year-classes of red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) grow to the same mean size during their first autumn of life in areas with a good food supply. Most parts of the cranium, mandible and long bones stop growing during the September-November period in yearlings. The zygomatic width is an exception and continues to grow throughout the winter. Several parts of the cranium and mandible continue to increase for many years.DOI: 10.15298/rusjtheriol.4.2.02
